She Brilliance
Independent, passionate and eager to inspire, Kim has two lovely children and two granddaughters that keep her honest. She has a Masters in Industrial & Organisational Human Resource Psychology and the hope to inspire a generation that can Be The Change before change changes them.
Armed with over 25 years of international business and management experience in the food service industry, Kim has held major commercial roles managing fortune 500 key accounts and senior executive roles leading change through strategic and organizational development, increasing people effectiveness and business performance.
Her story
Kim had to endure true hardship in her lifetime, overcoming tremendous odds to build the life she enjoys today.
At the young age of 15, she left school to help with family finances. At just 28, she found herself divorced from an abusive marriage, with two young children aged 5 and 1. These were but a few of the challenges she would have to face in her journey to success.
Eventually returning to night school at age 33, Kim pushed herself through 6 years of night school while juggling the responsibilities of raising her two young children and holding a full-time job. Her perseverance in personal development, her drive to provide for her young family, and her positive attitude toward life became the key ingredients that motivated her to be the change, before change changed her.
Her career
Kim’s career in the food service industry spans roles from Secretary, Customer Service, Marketing Director, Business Development Director, Vice President of Sales & Marketing managing fortune 500 companies globally, to General Management of multinational corporations with manufacturing facilities and sales offices in the Asia Pacific region.
Her 25 years corporate career exposed her to multicultural environments from Asia to Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Americas. Post retirement from corporate, Kim is now a Management Consultant, Keynote Speaker and Career & Business Coach.
Her passion
With a strong background in operational management and sales & marketing, coupled with her strength in personal & organisational development, Kim has been actively providing management training and coaching, contributing to the development of thousands of individuals both in corporate environments and in personal development.
Kim currently holds a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Marketing from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology as well as an Executive Master of Science in Industrial & Organisational Psychology & Human Resource from Baruch College, The City University of New York.
Kim volunteers her time as Board President and trainer in support of underprivileged women of Daughters Of Tomorrow and Singapore Business & Professional Women Association. She launched her own women platform, the SHE BRILLIANCE Movement, to encourage more business and professional women to step up to advance other women through its mentorship programme, learning & development masterclass and socially impactful networking activities.
